The UPFA-run Embilipitiya Pradeshiya Sabha (PS) has defeated for a second time to pass its budget for 2012.
At a vote on the second reading yesterday (.Dec 27), the budget was defeated four votes to three.
The JHU’s Ven. Wewelduwe Gnanaprabha Thera, who is the chairman, and two UPFA members supported the budget.
The deputy chairman and another UPFA member voted with the two members in the opposition to defeat the budget.
